CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT PLAN
Classroom management consists of classroom procedures, norms, responsibilities, and communication with students. I've compiled a list of key elements to classroom management, as well as procedures and approaches I hope to take in the classroom. Management is a team effort between students and the teacher, and when we work together, everyone is given the opportunity to learn and succeed.
TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
My teaching philosophy is to empower students to own their own learning, lives, and well-being through teaching independence and responsibility. I hope to create a socially just environment where everyone feels heard, loved, and listened to. I follow the idea that we must first meet Maslow's hierarchy of needs before students can thrive-- kids need to be sustained, safe, loved, and understood before they can reach their full potential.
