ABOUT AUDREY MCPHERRON
My teaching philosophy is to empower students to own their own learning, lives, and well-being through teaching independence and responsibility. I hope to create a socially just environment where everyone feels heard, loved, and listened to. I follow the idea that we must first meet Maslow's hierarchy of needs before students can thrive-- kids need to be sustained, safe, loved, and understood before they can reach their full potential. Each child is unique and special, and it's my job to show them how to navigate the crazy, confusing map of life for them to fully realize who they are and what their passion is.
